My work is in the abstract.  Painting in the abstract allows me to focus completely on the composition and the color - how the elements of the painting work with one another and how the colors push and complement each other.  You are similarly free to get involved with the painting and see how is makes you feel or where it takes you.

 

I work in layers, creating interest in what you can see, what you think you see, and what you can almost see.  Bits of the history of the painting are left to excite the brain.

 

When the mind is free from having to decide what a painting represents, it is also free to let the conscious and the subconcious work independently, then together, to form an opinion of the work.
